Company History
John Crooks took over the Boars Head Hotel in 1985. Since then it has undergone vast change and numerous improvements. Namely the construction of 16, purpose built hotel rooms. The addition of a restaurant and carvery has seen it rise significantly in popularity and become an integral part of the community in Sudbury.
After many successful years at the helm of his business, he semi-retired in the year 2000, leaving day to day runnings of the Boars Head Hotel to his eldest son, Jonothan Crooks. John Crooks along with his wife, Gail, now trading under the name of Sudbury Inns Ltd, acquired 'La Villa' in November 2000. Appointing the youngest of the brothers, Nicholas Crooks as manager.
Younger sibling of the two brothers, Kathryn Crooks, splits her time between the two establishments, concentrating predominantly on administration, payroll and marketing issues.
The three, headed by their ever vigilant Father and Gail, make a superb, efficient and successful team. |
