Darley Park
Just a ten minute drive away from Littleover Lodge you can find the picturesque Darley Park. With a stunning Hydrangea garden, paired with a beautiful summery butterfly garden, the park boasts a naturally colourful display.
With the length of the park spread along the tranquil River Derwent, there are plenty of places to settle in for a picnic with a view. If you’re feeling a little more energetic, take a walk around the park. It’s sure to get the blood pumping and you’ll benefit from some wonderful fresh air.
The furthest end of the park leads onto Darley Abbey Park. With beautiful views and excellent photo opportunities. It is definitely worth a walk from one end of the park to the other to appreciate the extent of nature.
If you aren’t quite ready to go home, of you want to see more of the beauty that Derbyshire has to offer, the park has five main gates that lead elsewhere. Take a walk over the Handyside bridge which will take you to Parkers Piece and Chester Green.
At the end of your trip to the park, come and visit our restaurant and fill up on some hearty home cooked food.
