Derby Museum and Art Gallery
Just a 5 mile drive from Littleover Lodge is the area’s finest Derby Museum and Art Gallery. Take a few hours out of your day to take a browse around, increase your creativity and boost your historical knowledge. It’s a great place for just adults, or take the kids along too. If they’re asking questions, it’s a great learning opportunity for the whole family.
The museum and gallery boasts a number of longstanding and temporary exhibits, with a range of paintings and artefacts that are of both local and international interest and importance. Included in the range of long-term exhibits are the collection of Joseph Wright paintings and the Soldier’s Story exhibition with a range of weaponry and objects, both military and personal.
Even if you have visited the gallery before, they regularly update the exhibits, meaning every visit is a new adventure. You may even learn something new from the longstanding exhibits too! If you’re looking to take something away with you, we don’t recommend taking part of an exhibit, but we do recommend taking a look in the gift shop.
