East Midlands Aeropark
Whether you’re a plane spotter, a fan of old aircraft, or you’re interested in aircraft restoration, East Midlands Aeropark is an interesting visit for the whole family. Located only a 20 minute drive from the Littleover Lodge, the aeropark is situated right on the edge of East Midlands Airport.
What to Do Whilst You’re There?
If you visit the aeropark, you won’t be stuck for things to do. For a start, you can explore the aviation museum and viewing area at the aeropark to take a trip back in time. Including some legends of history such as the Avro Vulcan, their planes of the past have been preserved to display them in all of their glory. Not only that, but you can also watch the more modern airliners take-off and land at the viewing area. Before your visit, you should also check out their current exhibits. From complete air frames to aircraft engines, there is plenty to see and take photographs of.
You should also keep an eye on our events page as your visit could coincide with something worth checking out. East Midlands Aeropark holds regular events such as Open Cockpit days where you can view the inside of their planes. You can even hire the aeropark for any private and corporate events. A function room is also available to be hired for meetings, presentations and parties.
Food and Drink
Once you’ve exhausted your legs, you can then return to the Littleover Lodge to kick your feet up and enjoy something from our Derby Gastropub, the Lodge Bar and Dining Restaurant. Thanks to our wide variety of menus available, there is plenty to choose from. If you’re looking for home-cooked, hearty food, we would highly recommend our Gastro menu. Full of English and Continental flavours, there is sure to be something to tantalise your tastebuds.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for some comfort food, look no further than our pizzas, served straight out of our stonebaked pizza oven. If you happen to be visiting our Derbyshire hotel for a seasonal occasion, you should also check out our specially selected dishes including Risotto, Halibut, Duck and Roast Beef.
