Love is in the air. And we’re feeling particularly romantic here at Littleover Lodge! To make Valentine’s Day 2020 extra special we set our chefs the task of creating a dedicated set menu. And they have not disappointed!
In fact, they have over-delivered with a sumptuous 5-course menu jam-packed with mouth-watering dishes. All of which are sure to get tastebuds tingling and set the scene for a romantic date night, whether it’s your first Valentine’s celebration as a couple or you’ve enjoyed several together. Our Valentine’s Day Menu
On arrival, we’ll set the scene for diners with a complimentary glass of Prosecco & Strawberry each – and of course a red rose for the lady!
Following this, guests will enjoy a decadent amuse bouche of cauliflower and truffle espresso. For starters, our top picks include crispy duck with a confit lollypop, burrata with liquid centred mozzarella, marinated tomatoes and balsamic jelly, or salmon and smoked salmon fish cakes with tartar sauce and lemon foam. A simply stunning selection, if we do say so ourselves!
Then, it’s on to the main event, and we’ve catered for all palates and tastes. For seafood lovers we have seabass with crab crushed potatoes, or our twist on a classic, rosemary and garlic chicken with confit potatoes and mustard cafe au lait. Our vegetarian option is equally delicious, with a Mediterranean feast of goats cheese and leek arancini perfectly complemented by roasted peppers, pickled shimeji mushrooms and leek oil.
A decadent meal would be nothing without a delicious dessert and we’ve got 3 options for Valentine’s diners to choose from. First up we have a romantic chocolate fondant with marinated raspberries and Baileys infused ice cream. A chocolate lover’s dream! We also have the option of Cherry Bakewell cheesecake with almond tuille, sweet cherries, and mouth-wateringly good cherry sorbet. Or, for something a little lighter, try our strawberry and white chocolate Eton mess with white chocolate ice cream, Valencia orange sponge and vanilla espuma.
To round out your meal, you can also enjoy a selection of tea and coffee alongside a sweet selection of petit fours.
